Fall with KHOU Channel 11 in Houston. I discussed how to navigate the grocery store to accomplish two goals: #1.
Plan, prepare and consume a healthy meal and #2. Plan, prepare and consume a healthy meal without overspending.
Three of my own top tips when grocery shopping are:
1. Pre plan meals and snacks.
2.
Have a list and stick to it...so do not shop when hungry, shop with family or spend more than 30 - 45 minutes in the grocery
store
3. Think outside of the box...stick to the perimeter
of the grocery store and avoid highly packaged foods.
